Equality for those who live alone
The life situations and problems of those who live alone must be better incorporated into decision-making. They should be prevented from becoming impoverished by securing their basic subsistence and by supporting their employment. The need and desire of those who live alone to have access to moderately-priced housing must be made a reality.
Society must avoid such payments and forms of taxation that set those who live alone at a disadvantage. The maximum amount of the household deduction should be raised for those living alone.
Single-parent families should be supported through the use of flexible day-care arrangements and by developing the municipal home care services to better support the daily needs of such families.
